Prairie Gardens Maintenance

Prairie Gardens Maintenance Class at Weyerhaeuser Museum in Little Falls

(LITTLE FALLS, MN – May 24, 2022) Got a prairie garden? Thinking of installing one? Wondering about maintenance and how best to care for your native prairie garden site? Then this class is for you!

Held at The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum in Little Falls, the Prairie Gardens Maintenance class will use the museum’s garden as the site for instructor Ben Wood to use as an example of how to care for and manage your native landscape. Established in 1977, not long after the museum was built, the prairie’s recent burn will serve as an example of routine maintenance and the ins and outs of prairie garden care.

This class is brought to you by Rethos: Places Reimagined and the Morrison County Historical Society, its Central Minnesota Education Coordinator. The program has been financed in part by the State of Minnesota from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the Minnesota Historical Society and by the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls One Planet Fund.

General admission for each class is $25. A Pay What You Can option is also available. Please register by Thursday, June 23rd. Register at https://www.rethos.org/classes
