On May 3rd, Prairie Restorations, Inc. came to the museum to perform a controlled burn on the prairie garden across from our parking lot. Burns like this strengthen the prairie, as it removes dead plants and encroaching growth that might otherwise hinder the growth of healthy prairie grasses. This lets it grow back even stronger than ever!
This burn was long overdue, and we at the museum thank the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls’ One Planet Fund for making this important project possible.
