For those interested in researching railroad history, the Morrison County Historical Society has 55 boxes of records from the Northern Pacific Railroad Depot in Little Falls. This depot was designed by Cass Gilbert, noted architect of the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and currently serves as the home of the Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
The records run from 1949 through 1973 and include due bills, freight bills, way bills, correspondence, payroll, and miscellaneous other records. An inventory of the collection is at the link below:
