This sheet of unused letterhead for the Little Falls Baseball Club of Little Falls, Minnesota, includes a wonderful graphic of the “new” grandstand at the Morrison County fairgrounds in Little Falls. The grandstand, which cost $8,000 to construct, was dedicated on Sunday, June 22, 1930, one hour before the Little Falls baseball team played an overwhelmingly victorious game with a team from Melrose, Minnesota. Felix T. Mushel (1898-1971), President of the Little Falls Baseball Club, gave a presentation during the dedication ceremony on the club’s participation in the project. Mushel owned and operated Mushel’s Drug Store in Little Falls from 1926 until his death in 1971. The grandstand was offered for sale to the highest bidder at an auction that was held the evening of June 21, 1979, almost half a century after it was constructed.
