It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ben Smuda, custodian and groundskeeper for the Weyerhaeuser Museum from 1999 through 2013.
Ben, his wife Alice, and sister Alvina have all looked after the museum as though it is part of their home. They are family to those of us at the museum and we are deeply mourning the loss of Ben.
Funeral services for Ben are pending at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. (Ben’s obituary)
There will be a memorial gathering for Ben at the Weyerhaeuser Museum this Saturday, February 14, 2015, from 2-4 p.m.
