Threat to ‘Kidnap’ Dave Larson Fails To Bring Results
(Little Falls Daily Transcript – Monday, 25 June 1934)

In spite of two “threatening” notes, Dave Larson was as free today as a married man can be.  The perpetrator of many a charivari plot, Dave had his own troubles Saturday, his wedding day, when two kidnap notes were dropped into his car.  He was to be held prisoner two days unless he posted $25 for treats at a specified lunch room.  In spite of the fact he posted only $5, he got away from the Saturday night church wedding and reception with no more rough handling than is accorded the usual victim.  The $5, according to reports, is to be administrated by Dave Betts, but at the present time remains untouched in the lunch room till.  Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Larson are honeymooning “somewhere.”
