I’m back from a week’s worth of vacation and had a chance this morning to see how the Morrison County Historical Society did on GiveMN’s Give to the Max Day last Tuesday/Wednesday.
I’m pleased to report that we received $265 in donations. This was matched with $10.71 worth of the $500,000 in matching funds that were put up for the event. The organizers had hoped that the match would be greater than the approximately 4-cents per dollar that resulted, but they also didn’t foresee the over $14 million (MILLION!) in contributions that came in that day. Amazing! Breath-taking, really.
If you didn’t have a chance to make a donation to the Morrison County Historical Society on Give to the Max Day, never fear! The beauty of GiveMN is that you can donate any time you like. Just click the GiveMN button in the sidebar and you’ll be taken to our donation page. The process is very simple … and I’m speaking from experience here.
We’re considering setting up our page with membership levels, so that you can renew your membership online through GiveMN using a credit or debit card. Let us know if this is something you’d like to be able to do.
In the meantime, here’s a great article summarizing Give to the Max Day from Minnesota Public Radio.
Here are the final results of the day according to GiveMN. There’s a link on this page that will take you to the full list of donations received by each nonprofit. It’s alphabetical by organization name.
Thanks to all who donated to MCHS that day!
