Holiday Book Release Party

We’re planning an event here at the Weyerhaeuser Museum on December 6 to celebrate the holiday season and the publication of “You Eat That?!? The Anti-Recipe Recipe Book.” Any excuse to decorate the museum and serve food works for us. The bonus, of course, is our new book, which comes in two distinct covers and would make a great (& fun!) holiday gift for the special someone in your life (hint, hint).

I wrote an official press release for the Holiday Book Release Party this morning and thought I’d share it with you.

Morrison County Historical Society Hosts Holiday Book Release Party

Cold baked beans on white bread, a roasted marshmallow between two Doritos, apple slices with salt, French fries dipped in a chocolate shake.  These are a few of the impromptu concoctions people eat when they are in a hurry or feeling creative.  The Morrison County Historical Society (MCHS) collected these sorts of concoctions from visitors to The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum and has recently published them in book form under the title, “You Eat That?!? The Anti-Recipe Recipe Book.”

To celebrate the book’s publication, MCHS will be hosting a Holiday Book Release Party on Sunday, December 6, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Weyerhaeuser Museum in Little Falls, MN.  Copies of “You Eat That?!?” will be available for sale that day at the museum, or the book can be purchased online from the Historical Society’s Café Press store.  The book has been produced with two distinct covers; one that is red and green with stripes; the other designed to be reminiscent of chocolate and strawberries.

Anti-recipes from “You Eat That?!?” will be served during the Holiday Book Release Party.  There is no admission for the event, but reservations are requested by December 3.  The public is welcome to attend.  Call 320-632-4007 to make reservations.  For more information, visit http://www.morrisoncountyhistory.org or http://www.cafepress.com/weymu.

See? It even has the triple hashtags at the bottom to signify the press release is finished. Now that’s official.

If you want to come to the party, give us a call at 320-632-4007 to make your reservations. We need to know how  many people plan to attend so we know how many Doritos to buy.
