One of four lantern slides belonging to Peter (P. J.) Lauermann (1882-1969), a cigar manufacturer in Little Falls, Minnesota, during the early twentieth century, this little gem was used by Lauermann to advertise his wares.  Lauermann got his start in the cigar industry in Little Falls while working for Henry William Venners (1877-1930).  Venners and his brother-in-law, J. B. Armstrong, purchased the James (Jack) Hiram Reid cigar factory in 1895 in downtown Little Falls.
