Shoe last – This metal shoe last was used by the Samuel Zimny family for repairing shoes. Samuel was a Royalton area farmer. It was not uncommon for families to have a set of shoe lasts to repair their own shoes, rather than take shoes to a cobbler. – MCHS Collections – #2010.6.2

Shoemaker’s hammer – Donated by Theodore Bredfield, this shoe maker’s hammer was brought to Little Falls, Minnesota, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1877. It was used at W.E. Shoe Shop at the corner of 1st & 2nd Avenue. It dates back to 1865. – MCHS Collections, #1945.35.1
