The snowy season is rapidly approaching, which means we’ll need someone to plow our driveway and parking lot and shovel our front sidewalk for the 2021-2022 snow season.
For those interested in submitting a bid, below are the particulars. You will need to stop by the Weyerhaeuser Museum in Little Falls in order to get an idea of the size of our parking lot, driveway and sidewalk.
CALL FOR BIDS
Snow Removal at The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum, Little Falls, MN
The Morrison County Historical Society, owner of The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum, is seeking bids for the removal of snow at the museum during the 2021-2022 winter season. Snow is to be removed during every snow event that deposits at least 1 inch of snow on the ground. The bid is to include the following costs per snow event:
- Plowing the parking lot
- Plowing the driveway
- Clearing snow from the front sidewalk
If there is an additional charge for snowfalls above 6 inches, please provide this cost for the above items, as well.
Plowed snow is to be moved away from the building as much as possible. (Larger deposits can be plowed to the north end of the property.) Please be kind to our grass, and avoid the berm installed to the east of our property by the river.
Museum staff will indicate with the first major snowfall how much of the sidewalk is to be cleared.
There is no need to include sidewalk salting in the bid as museum staff take care of this task.
The museum is open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Thursday through Saturday, though staff may be in the museum on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well. We request that snow removal be done before 9:00 AM unless there are extenuating circumstances.
