After having several months of no masks required for those who are vaccinated against COVID-19, the Morrison County Historical Society is once again requiring masks for all while visiting The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum in Little Falls, MN.
The increase in cases of the Delta variant of the disease in unvaccinated people, along with breakthrough infections in those who have been vaccinated, make this a necessary step in preventing the further spread of the disease. The CDC is recommending mask wearing in locations that have substantial or higher risk of transmission. Only 48 percent of Morrison County residents have had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, which makes transmission of the Delta variant more likely in the county.
We encourage people to get vaccinated as quickly as possible and to take precautions, like mask-wearing, to reduce the chance of further surges, variants, and death caused by COVID-19. The vaccines are available at numerous places locally. Visit Morrison County’s vaccine information page to find out where: https://www.co.morrison.mn.us/627/Vaccine-Information.
