May is typically school tour season at the Weyerhaeuser Museum. Students of various ages from surrounding schools visit the museum to take a Scavenger Hunt tour and to listen to a talk on the logging industry in Morrison County. Today is our first day of school tours, with students coming from Pierz to see what we’ve got.
Because staff is fully occupied during school tours, we won’t be able to assist researchers, so we ask that you please plan your schedule accordingly. Thus far, we have tours planned for the following days and times:
May 6 (today): 11:00 – 1:45
May 7: 8:45 – 10:15
May 21: 12:00 – 2:15
May 26: 11:15 – 2:45
May 28: 1:00 – 2:30
May 29: 9:00 – 12:00
June 2: 9:00 – 12:00
June 3: 9:00 – 12:00
You are welcome to do research on those days during the hours we aren’t conducting school tours, as well as during our other regularly scheduled open hours (10:00 – 5:00, Tuesday through Saturday).
