This postcard, which was donated to the Morrison County Historical Society by Verlaine M. Wright of Kimberling City, Missouri, shows a studio photograph of Miss Nellie Russell, who was a teacher for District 117 in Morrison County, Minnesota, in 1921. The photograph was taken by Frank A. Nelson of Nelson’s Photo Studio in Little Falls, Minnesota. The postcard is addressed on the back to Edna from her teacher, Nellie Russell. According to the donor, her aunt, Edna Lindstrom, lived in Darling, Minnesota. The District 117 school was organized in 1904 and was located in Section 30 of Green Prairie Township.
