The tree is up and the star is lit. It must be the holiday season! Thanks to Alice, MCHS museum assistant, and Ben, MCHS custodian, visitors entering the museum are greeted by a beautifully lit Christmas tree. If you happen to be traveling north on the Great River Road just south of the museum, you might even catch a glimpse of the tree through the windows facing the museum’s courtyard. The star that is on display in the parking lot was made for the museum by Victor Zyvoloski of Little Falls. Victor, who farmed for many years in Pike Creek Township, died in the spring of 2004. The museum’s star is apparently one of many that Victor made and gave away during the last years of his life. If you are passing this way, feel free to stop in and see our tree. We are open all year round, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Happy Holidays!
