Dairy Dream, formerly known as Dairy Way, was located in the 900 block of First Street Southeast in Little Falls, across from St. Gabriel’s Hospital. One of four ice cream parlours operating in the city at one time (Dairy Queen, Dairy Treat, Dairy Princess, Dairy Dream), Dairy Dream was open from the mid-1950s until the summer of 1998. The United States is the world’s leading consumer of ice cream. In 1984, President Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month. The five top flavors in the United States are vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, chocolate chip and butter pecan.
