Perfectly posed in a costume and setting reflective of the highly decorative style of the Victorian era is Anita Yoerg (1897-1973), the daughter of William and Augusta (Schell) Yoerg of Little Falls, Minnesota. Anita, who was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, married Carlisle Ralph Palmer in 1920. Carlisle was the son of Ralph L. Palmer, who owned and operated the Buckman hotel in Little Falls from 1909 until 1913. Carlisle and Anita lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, until 1936, when Carlisle purchased the Hillman Mercantile store in Hillman, Minnesota. The Palmers had five children – Richard Carlisle, William (Bill), Anita June, Ralph Louis and Virginia Ann.
