Break out the garden hats and your extra fresh garden produce!
We’re hosting a Garden Gala on September 13, 2009, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum and you are invited. We’re celebrating home-grown produce with our event, which includes a program by Erik Warner, who will discuss The Soul Patch, his community garden project that benefits the Morrison County Food Shelf.
Jan Warner, our Executive Director (and Erik’s mother, in case you were wondering), will lead a discussion on gardening and food preservation of the past.
The Morrison County Historical Society annual meeting will be held in conjunction with the event (after the program, which starts at 2:30.). (This is painless, usually taking 10-15 minutes, and includes board elections.)
There will be light refreshments served. (Who can pass up food?)
You are encouraged to bring your extra home-grown produce to trade or share.
Come, join us! There’s no charge and the public is welcome to attend.

P.S. We know the Little Falls Arts & Crafts Fair is going on the weekend of the Garden Gala, and there will be traffic, but that’s okay. We’re going to live a little.
