The Morrison County Historical Society is partnering with Lindbergh State Park and the Lindbergh Historic Site on the annual Candlelight Hike, which will take place Friday, January 24, 2014, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A mile of trails will take visitors through the Lindbergh Historic Site to the Morrison County Historical Society’s Weyerhaeuser Museum. Visitors may also bring their skis and snowshoes, but trails will not be groomed.

Both the Weyerhaeuser Museum and Lindbergh Historic Site will be open so that visitors can enjoy exhibits and refreshments. The Weyerhaeuser Museum will have a special “Warm in Winter” exhibit for the event.

The Candlelight Hike is free and open to the public.

We’re looking for volunteers for the event. We need people to help set up candles (2 volunteers) & light them (8 volunteers) , relight candles that blow out during the event (2-4 volunteers), and pick up candles at the end of the event (2-4 volunteers). We also need people to serve as hosts at the Weyerhaeuser Museum (2 volunteers).

If you’re able to volunteer for the candle-related tasks, call Jennifer at the Lindbergh Historic Site, 320-616-5421. To volunteer at the Weyerhaeuser Museum, call 320-632-4007.
