Collections Carousel: Creepy Dolls and Halloween

We have a number of dolls in our collections but this little charmer was voted the creepiest by MCHS staff. We don’t have much information on this little doll, but we believe it was made circa 1920 based on the style of clothing it is wearing. Looking closely at the back of the head, I found  that this bisque porcelain doll head was made in Germany and has the lot number of 390. The dolls body is made of plaster and wood and the hair appears to be human. Bwahaha! Happy Halloween!
