HVAC Replacement Progress

The folks from McDowall Company, our contractors for replacing the HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) system at the Weyerhaeuser Museum, are making quick work of the project. They started tearing out the old system on Monday, October 4, 2021. By Wednesday, October 6, 2021, they had removed the boilers, air handler, and most of the ductwork from the furnace room. The space looks so large, we feel like we could host a cotillion in it!

Here are some before and after photos. Pay attention to the dates in the captions for the timeline of what happened when.

View looking northwest in the furnace room at the Weyerhaeuser Museum. Look, there's no air handler or other furnace equipment blocking the view! Instead, there are four boxes lined up on the cement pad where the air handler used to sit ... our new high-efficiency gas furnaces waiting to be installed. October 6, 2021.
