At a public hearing and special meeting of members on May 4, 2021, the Morrison County Historical Society amended its Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
A specific change to the Articles and Bylaws was a condition of applying for a federal grant, but the organization reviewed the documents thoroughly and made changes in keeping with Minnesota’s nonprofit corporation statute (Minn. Stat. 317A), which has been updated since MCHS filed its first Articles in 1936. The new statute allows for remote meetings and electronic communications by the board and members and MCHS’s amended Articles and Bylaws reflect this change.
The amended Articles have been filed with the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office and were received and processed by the Secretary of State’s Office as of May 7, 2021.
