The Weyerhaeuser Museum may be closed, but we are certainly busy today.
The day started with a picturesque shot of the frosty Big Pine.
When I got in the door, I immediately booted up my computer to finish printing the newsletter. I had to create a Capital Campaign insert for it, as well. Our ‘A-Team,’ Alice, Alvina and Ardyce, was due to arrive around 10 a.m. to start folding, so these items had to be done lickety-split.
Meanwhile, board members were arriving to help us continue putting archival materials on the new mobile shelving in the Archives. We’ve been working in shifts on that since the installation was completed on December 6, 2019. Today’s crew includes Pat, Gary, Peter, and Cathy, but over the past 2 weeks, we have had help from Camille, the indefatigable Pat, custodian Paul, archival consultant Mike, and volunteer Sebastian. Later this afternoon, we are expecting volunteers David and Chris Ann. This is truly a project where many hands make for lighter work.
The mobile shelving project has been financed in part with funds provided by the State of Minnesota from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the Minnesota Historical Society.
