Morrison County is no stranger to disasters. The county has suffered fires, blizzards, tornadoes, floods, epidemics, and even an earthquake. The Morrison County Historical Society is presenting an exhibit on past county disasters at the Morrison County Fair in Little Falls.
Morrison County would be hard-pressed to recover from its many disasters without the assistance of emergency personnel, like first responders, law enforcement, and firefighters. The exhibit will include items from some of these emergency personnel.
The fair runs from August 10 to August 13. The exhibit will be located in the Santa House. Volunteers from the Historical Society will be staffing the exhibit from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and from noon until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
At the exhibit, attendees will have an opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket for the raffle that the Historical Society is holding to benefit its operations. They will also be able to sign up for a drawing of the book, “A Big Hearted Paleface Man: Nathan Richardson and the History of Morrison County, Minnesota.”
