2016 marks the 80th anniversary of the Morrison County Historical Society, which was founded in 1936. To honor the event, we are hosting a Mystery History Picnic at The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. (The picnic portion of the event will start around 6, with the program at 7.)

The “mystery” part of the evening includes a history program related, naturally, to the history of Morrison County. You will have to attend to find out what the program entails. (We’re pretty sure you’ll dig it.)

Thankfully, there is no mystery in the food. We will be serving boxed lunches that include a sandwich, chips and a brownie. Sandwich choices include ham, turkey, beef, chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, and vegetarian.

Weather permitting, we’ll be set up to dine in the courtyard.

Cost for the event is as follows:

MCHS members – Program + box lunch – $7
MCHS members – Program only – $3
Non-members – Program + box lunch – $9
Non-members – Program only – $5

To purchase tickets to the event, visit MCHS’s online store at https://squareup.com/store/morrison-county-historical-society. You may also purchase tickets by stopping at the Weyerhaeuser Museum. Once you’ve purchased your tickets, call the museum at 320-632-4007 to let staff know your sandwich choice(s). Please RSVP by July 28 so we can provide the caterer with a count.
