May’s Map of the Month is Jefferson Highway – From Pine To Palm. The map was published in 1917 by the Kenyon Company of Des Moines, Iowa. Showing the full-length of the highway, which extends from Winnipeg, Canada, to the Gulf of Mexico in New Orleans, Louisiana, the map includes interesting details such as a listing of state officials and various mileage charts. The total mileage of the Jefferson Highway is a whopping 2,278 miles.
