When our oldest son was about 12 years old, he came home from school with a little drawing he had done. It was a little devil with a halo. He had always exhibited artistic ability and I wanted to encourage him in those endeavors so I decided to have his work done as a tattoo. I figured that if he saw my willingness to have his work permanently on my body, he’d think his art had value.
He went on to get a BFA and is an artist today.
