Len Sharon’s willow baskets. These handwoven willow baskets were made by Len Sharon of Randall, Minnesota. Len harvests willow shoots, typically found in ditches, from around Morrison County for his baskets. In their first year, willow shoots are very pliable and have no branches, which makes them ideal for making baskets. Len taught himself to make baskets and has been doing so for 30 years. He comes from an artistic family that encourages artistic endeavors., Heirloom Arts Day, June 8, 2013, Weyerhaeuser Museum
