Bandolier bag – Jean Martinson bought this bandolier bag at a garage sale for 25-cents in Mizpah, Minnesota. It was originallly taken as payment for a grocery store bill in the Turtle Mountains of North Dakota. Jean, who is from Upsala, owned the bag for about 20 years before donating it to the museum in 1996. – MCHS Collections, #1996.36.3

Beaded leather shirt – This shirt is attributed to the Gros Ventres tribe of Malta, Montana. It was donated to the museum by Mrs. John Becotte, whose nephew purchased the shirt from “an old Indian man several years ago.” It was donated in 1966. – MCHS Collections, #1966.5.1

Beaded coin purse – Cindy Moore, who grew up in Morrison County, received this coin purse from The Church of The Four Winds in Portland, Oregon, when she ended her employment there as a music director in 1996. The church is an inter-tribal, inter-denominational Native American church. The purse was made by Shishone Bannock in Fort Hall, Indiana. – MCHS Collections, #2007.4.1
