Carl A. Weyerhaeuser History Awards

Carl A. Weyerhaeuser (1901-1996) was born in Little Falls, Minnesota, to Charles and Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser. The Carl A. Weyerhaeuser History Awards were established through a gift given by Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Sivertsen in memory of Carl. Mrs. Sivertsen was Carl's sister.

The Carl A. Weyerhaeuser History Awards were established in 2014 by the Morrison County Historical Society. They are meant to encourage greater public examination of Morrison County’s diverse history and to provide higher awareness and use of the collections at The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum in Little Falls, Minnesota.

The History Awards offer the opportunity for residents of Morrison County to enhance and develop their research and writing skills to produce an essay. This will allow them to learn more about the fascinating history of Morrison County.

In addition to the satisfaction of a job well done and contributing to the historic record, participants  have a chance to receive a monetary award for their efforts.
