Many researchers are well aware of the Minnesota birth and death databases available online at the Minnesota Historical Society’s website. What has recently come to our attention is another online resouces for family history information – the Minnesota Official Marriage System. MOMS, as it’s called, is a joint effort of the 87 counties in Minnesota. The counties are working to upload information in regards to the marriage certificates they have on file. The site appears to be a work in progress, so don’t be disappointed if you can’t find what you are looking for right away. Perhaps, if counties start getting lots of inquiries related to the site, they’ll have the impetus they need to prioritize the uploading of info.
